The TOEIC, an abbreviation of Test of English for International Communication, includes writing section defining the level of proficiency of your English writing capabilities. Moreover, you spend an hour to answer seven questions and write an essay depending on one of your views. To be specific, the first part requires that you write a sentence depending on a picture. Meanwhile, the next section may require you to answer emails. Next, the last section which requires you to spend much time ask you to write a 300-word essay to ask you to state, clarify and support your point of view on a matter.

 

Steps on TOEIC writing test


1. Firstly, you should do all the exercises in the book for Section 1. Besides that, it is important to practice writing descriptive sentences utilizing two or three given words, so you need combine these words. Then, after finishing an exercise, go back, it is good for you to go over your answers and see whether you may reorganize the word order or make a concise sentence.

 

2. Secondly, you may practice exercises in the books related to reading and writing emails. Therefore, you make an outline of your email in complete sentences and are certain that you answer any questions or concerns in the original email. Also, you must check your answers and study the sample emails they supply you within the book.

 

3. Lastly, you should practice the organization of a formal essay and keep yourself to a strict format related to an introduction, a development paragraph, and a conclusion. It is also noticed that you had better practice with the hardest, most boring essay topics in the book because those topics may make you confident and test your writing capabilities. In addition, you can ask a friend or teacher with a better command of English to check your essays when you finish.
